FAQs
What are the common uses of our Tallow Balm?
Tallow is a versatile skin care product that will nourish and heal the skin. Some common uses are a daily face balm, dry skin, eczema, psoriasis, after-sun, foot cream, after-shave, diaper rash and lots more (see our blog post about this!)
What differentiates our tallow from others?
Our suet and our sourcing.
We only source our suet from grass-fed and grass-finished cows on regenerative farms. We think it is important to know our farmers personally and their farming practices.
We’re deliberate in sourcing only high quality ingredients. We don’t use big box stores or wholesalers when sourcing ingredients.
We have a specific process that we use when rendering our tallow from the suet that yields consistent results.
We’re a family owned business so it’s just us working on everything!
Is the Unscented Balm really unscented?
Yes.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes and we are flexible based on our individual retailer needs. Please contact us directly for more information.
How do custom orders work?
Please contact us directly either on our contact page or email us at taylorstallow@gmail.com. In order to best serve you, please include your skincare concerns. We love to help our customers figure out what will work best for their skin concerns, whether its more scent, less scent or a different carrier oil - we would be happy to work with you!
What is the SPF for the Sun Balm?
While the Sun Protection Factor of our Sun Balm has not been lab tested, we use it in the same way as an SPF 30 sunscreen. After researching the dangers associated with conventional sunscreens on the market, we created sun protection that we felt confident enough to put on our own kids. Our Sun Balm offers reliable protection in Tennessee summer days. We recommend reapplying every 60 minutes after swimming or heavy sweating.
What is the shelf life?
The shelf life is 9 months on the counter and up to 2 years in the refrigerator.
